The 12 War Graves, plus those commemorating loved ones who fell overseas, together with former service personnel buried in the cemetery have a Wreath laid, on the anniversary of their death.

A wreath was laid yesterday on the Family Grave which remembers Walter GARRETT of 1st Wilts Imperial Yeomanry who died 4th September 1900, and is buried at Leeuw River Mills, South Africa. (Boer War)

Others remembered since July are Norman CASE and Lewis John Harvey VALLIS (Both died on the Somme) and Sidney COX

Frome Dissenters' Cemetery is a long-neglegted archive of Frome's History since the mid 19th Century.

It now seeks new friends to make itself better known to the people of Frome and the wider Frome Area.

Built in 1851 for a burial ground for the Dissenting Congregations of the Frome Area, it has, since September 1851 had over 6,200 people interred here.

Other "residents" of the Cemetery include Frogs, Slow Worms, Squirrels, Butterflys and Bees, and, at night Foxes and Badgers

However, it can be seen from the Registers that people from every church in the town have been buried here over the years, as well as people of no religious conviction.

Listed Building Consent has recently been obtained, allowing repairs to be carried out to the Gate Pillars at the entrance and replacement of the cracked and broken windows in the Chapel. (Built as a Mortuary Chapel for the Cemetery).
